Hey beauties,
So, it's still summer, and we've got time to make use of all that glorious sunshine before we get to be cozy in our winter leggings with pockets once more. But even with all that glorious sunshine outside, we also still need to spend some time inside. And in the summer, spending time inside our houses is a little hotter and sweatier than we want it to be. That's why we all need some quick summer home refreshes we can do to brighten things up, cool things down, and just make us overall more comfortable.
Also, since you're going to be lounging inside your house, you better do it in the cutest booty shorts this summer has to offer.
Like these cat fight biker booty shorts, of course.
When you're doing your at home workouts, you'll get a boost of confidence even if there's not a million people around at the gym to see you (which, honestly, isn't that kind of nice?) When you're wearing something cute and that you feel confident in, your workout only goes that much better.
You can get these sassy booty shorts in pink or nude, and getting them in both isn't a bad idea, either. Hey, you're a part of your home, so you might as well decorate yourself, too, right? They also come with the signature Cute Booty waist band, which provides some nice high rise coverage on your waist. Pair it up with a matching bralette and you're more than ready.
Alright, when it comes to summer home refreshes, here are the quickest ways to make your space shine.
Add greenery
Not only are plants good for the air quality of your house, bringing the outdoors inside can actually help cool things down. Plants naturally release moisture into the air, creating a cooling effect. Some plants can even help to absorb heat. On top of all that, nature helps us feel more calm, and just looks good in general. So head over to the local nursery and pick up some indoor plants to immediately give your house a boost. Adding some freshly cut flowers that you picked up from the grocery store is also a ridiculously simple way to make your house appear a little brighter.
And, add ice
Ok, so we all know that running the air conditioning is expensive. So even though we want to do it all the time, it's not always an option for everyone. Turning on a fan is much cheaper, but definitely doesn't have the same cooling effect as blasting the air conditioning can. That's why all you need to do is add ice. Take some ice out of your freezer, and place it in a bowl or any other appropriate container in front of your fan. It adds some oomph to your fan power when you really need it. Time to chill out and lounge.
And if you're really lounging, especially in the bedroom, then it's time for some peep show bedroom booty shorts.
These booty shorts have all the lace you need to feel as good as you can feel. Not only that, but they're super breathable along with being sexy, so even if you've got your A/C running, you get that extra relief from the heat.
Paint it blue
The color blue literally has a psychologically calming effect on our bodies. So if you're sitting in your room feeling hot and bothered, then you might want to bust out the paint tools. Even if it's just an accent wall, adding a touch of blue to a space can help you calm down and chill out. In general, adding a pop of color to any room is a way to brighten it up for summer, and watercolors are particularly on trend right now.
Add some scents
You don't need just the sights of summer, you also need the smells. And that smell? Citronella candles. Is there anything else like them to make your brain say "ah, it's summer time?" And, of course, they keep the flies at bay. The same goes for the scent of lemongrass, which also helps to repel insects, especially if you're relaxing on your front porch.
Try out sea glass
Even if you don't live coastally, decorate for the life you want to lead. And adding sea glass to any room is a perfect way to add those beachy, summer vibes in no time flat. Sea glass is also typically blue, which goes along with that whole calming blue trend.
Until next time, make the most of that summer.
