Hey beauties,

So, what do we mean by summer stress? Isn't summer supposed to be full of relaxation, vacations - tropical getaways where you just lie on the beach and read a book?

Ha, yep, that is what summer is supposed to be like. But we all know what it's really like. While we (hopefully) get to do those things, we're probably also all: at work, getting sunburnt, trying to think of activities to do with that aren't going to make you melt in the sun, going to weddings - the list goes on. And possibly the worst thing of all: sometimes it's too hot out there for workout leggings. Here are some ways to manage your summer stress the Cute Booty way (and just stress in general!)

Bust out the sexy shorts

While your workout leggings might go into the drawer for a little while (and we mean just a little while...you can't go that long without your Cute Booty leggings...), we've got a backup for you.

And that backup is: booty shorts. When you're wearing something comfortable that you love, your stress levels can literally decrease. Our women's summer shorts collection is ready to go, with booty shorts, biker shorts, and loungewear sets (of course, they're shorts.) The scrunch pockets are there as always to turn up the heat, but in the good way that won't leave you wishing the A/C was a little bit stronger.

Visualize your stress

Wait, when you're stressed out, you mean we're telling you to think MORE about your stress? Uh huh, yes we are.

When you're feeling particularly stressed, close your eyes, and literally try to picture your stress. What does it look like? What color is it? Is it a particular shape? Does it move? When you go through this exercise, it actually helps you feel more calm because you're giving the feeling of stress over to something finite, that doesn't belong to you. You can think of yourself as separate from that stress, and feel the relief.

Stand up straight

When you're wearing your Cute Booty leggings, you know you already want to stand up tall. (That's when that booty looks the best, after all...) But standing up straight can literally relieve your stress.

When you have correct posture, it can help to promote circulation within your blood, and increase the levels of oxygen. And yes, that does mean improved mood. If you want to take it a step further, strike a power pose - changing the position of your body into one with confidence can have a huge impact on your body chemistry.

Set some goals

Sometimes, we don't even really know what's stressing us out - there are a lot of nebulous, big picture things in life to worry about. Sit down and think about your two year goals, and how you're getting closer to them. You might find that you're doing a lot better than you thought you were, and the things that were stressing you out can be tackled.

On the other hand - it could be the future that's bringing you stress! In that case, take it day by day - write down a few things every day that you are thankful for. Changing your attitude to be one of gratefulness instead of erring toward the side of being stressed will help you keep count of the blessings in your life. And you're too blessed to be stressed, right?

Do some yoga

Remember what we said about power poses? Yoga is basically an hour of power poses. Not only will it make you stand up straighter and strike a few power poses, yoga, of course, will help you to center yourself and calm down, especially when you begin the day with it. Consciously looking at yourself and how your body is feeling can help you assess your stress levels even amidst all the business of life.

Get yourself some perfect PJs

It's always a bummer trying to go to sleep in the summer when it's too hot outside. And less sleep = more stress, more stress = less sleep - it's a vicious cycle.

That's why we reccomend slipping into something more comfortable - the aqua floral boyfriend shorts. Not only are they made from our exclusive fabric milled in Los Angeles, they're made with 95% viscose and 5% lycra, which means they're going to be nice and breathable for when you're trying to go to sleep.

Another nice thing to pair up with boyfriend shorts is a boyfriend, and he can also sport a matching pair of aqua floral boxers with you. Matching set? How could you possibly be stressed.

Embrace your body, love your booty,
